# trace_transaction: parameters, returns and CU

## Summary

## Compute units (CU) and pricing

- CU per call: 100 CU
- Price per 1M calls (USD): $10.00

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `transactionHash` | `HASH` | 32-byte transaction hash to inspect as 0x-prefixed hex. |

## Returns

- **Type**: `ARRAY`
- **Description**: Array of trace objects recorded during transaction execution, in execution order.

## Notes

trace_transaction is supported on chains with Parity/OpenEthereum-style trace modules enabled; see the availability table below. A block outside the state window returns -32011, and an unknown hash returns -32000; neither is billed. For Geth-style call trees, use debug_traceTransaction.
